Our preschool program focuses on school readiness in a loving, age-appropriate environment. Through weekly themes and curriculum, the children learn new concepts that allow them to gain perspective about others, and the world around them, and master academic skills needed to be successful in the coming school years. Promiseland has partnered with Kaufman ISD to ensure that the children who attend are prepared for the school years ahead.

Our weekly instruction for PreK includes:

  • Weekly Bible Stories to promote faith-building and character development

  • Recognizing and writing letters and numbers

  • Recognizing sight words

  • Writing names

  • Simple addition

  • Pattern recognition

  • Recognizing shapes and colors

  • Arts and Crafts to spark creativity and imagination

In addition to learning in a classroom setting, children have opportunities for centers that foster independent play time as well as social interaction. Daily outdoor play is offered to promote physical activity, time with friends, and enjoyment of God’s beautiful creation.

Curriculum

We use the ABC Jesus Loves Me curriculum for our Pre-K classes. ABC Jesus Loves Me preschool curriculum features a traditional approach to teaching and learning, cross-subject integration, spiral review, and plenty of hands-on learning.  Abeka is an age-appropriate curriculum for preschool that takes into consideration the differences in motor skills and cognitive abilities enabling children to achieve success at realistic learning milestones.

The Abeka preschool curriculum turns playtime into learning time, laying a strong academic foundation that prepares each child for the next level of their educational journey. The biblical teaching is designed from a Christian worldview, planting seeds of faith in children all through the year.
