A Texas Rising Star™ Certified Program
Promiseland Learning Center was established in 1975 as a two day a week preschool program known as Child Development at FBC Kaufman. Several mothers of FBC Kaufman recognized the need for their toddlers through pre-K age children to have a Christ-like learning environment through which they could discover, think, and create! The program thrived for 25 years, and in August of 2007 Promiseland became a five-day-a-week program for infants through school age children under the leadership of Beth James. Across a decade, Promiseland taught and inspired children toward Jesus Christ. In August of 2017 a new chapter was started as Promiseland moved to a new campus and facility. The building bears the name of beloved Children’s and Families Pastor, Beth James, who passed on in 2011. In this place, the legacy of Beth and the vision God gave her to teach children of His great plans for them lives on. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

At Promiseland we are dedicated to supporting parents in planting a solid spiritual foundation for the children we serve. In a world where truth is hard to find, we aim to point them to God’s truth in fun and meaningful ways through engaging bible storytelling and Bible activities. Our goal is to instill godly values and biblical character that will bring about God’s goodness and blessing in their lives.
Grow
We have such a privilege to be part of the growth and development of PLC children. We believe every day brings an opportunity to encourage children to achieve important milestones. We are so grateful to see and celebrate them as they embrace new skills and encounter new challenges. Our goal is to monitor and assess age-appropriate milestones in order to help children progress in all areas of development.
Bloom
The Bible tells us that children are fearfully and wonderfully made by a God who delights in them and loves them. Our creator God has wired them to also create, think, and learn! He has given them unique abilities and a beautiful purpose in this world. We believe in our PLC kids and we strive to help them bloom and thrive as they gain confidence in learning and discover their God-given gifts.
We’re expanding!
We're expanding our horizons at Promiseland! We now have spots open in our vibrant 3s classrooms, as well as our PreK (4s/5s). For those who want the fun to continue after the school bell rings, our after-school program has some limited availability too! Don't miss your chance to join the Promiseland adventure – come grow with us!
Fantastic Fridays
We’ve added Fantastic Fridays to our After School Program! On some Fridays (and one Monday) Promiseland’s school-age teachers are partnering with children and youth ministry staff at FBC to create an awesome all-day experience where they can choose their own adventure. Fantastic Fridays will feature both crazy competitions & games as well as quieter artistic activities. Here is what the days will look like:
February 9th –BOARD GAMES or Board Games – choose to be a live character and physically move through a fun board game or find a comfy corner to play the traditional way
Feb. 23rd – Crazy Kickball or Performance Arts (music, dance, drama)
March 29th – Super Sports or Creative Cooking
